June 2006

 

Monday 12th June

We will be entertaining 8th Morden Beavers. Please be at band practice @ 7:00 pm in uniform. If you cannot be there early, Please arrive as soon as you can. We will finish @ 9:30 pm as usual.

 

Tuesday 13th June

Recruiting visit to 12th Mitcham Guides at 7:45 pm at Greenwood Road School. (The school is now called something else, but I don’t know what!) We will only need about 4 of us – say two brass, one drum and a bell lyre. Please wear uniform.

 

Saturday 17th June

Mitcham Carnival. Meet at 11:30 am, Victoria Road, Figges Marsh, Mitcham. In uniform, with clean shoes and instruments. We will parade from Figges Marsh to the Three Kings peace at Mitcham Common.

 

When the Carnival parade is finished, we will be going to the District Cub Camp at Walton Firs, Cobham to entertain the Cubs and possibly recruit some new members.

We will be traveling by band members cars and anticipate being at Walton Firs by 3 pm and finished by 5 pm. Any assistance with transport will be appreciated. Would those driving please deliver their passengers home at the end of the day, unless they have made other arrangements.

 

Sunday 12th November 2006

 

Royal British Legion parade in Mitcham. Details to follow.

 

 

April 2006

 

23RD St George’s Day meeting at Tooting and Mitcham Football Ground Bishopsford Road Morden (times to follow). Then helping Straight afterwards in the afternoon with Wallington scout bands own St George’s day.

John and Richard send thanks to the members that attended and also to the Wallington Scout Band on a rainy day all went very well.
